March2012 JournalofNortheastAgriculturalUniversity(EnglishEdition) VO1 ． 19 No．142—49 Host-_targeting--motifHarboredSecretaryProteinsinGenomeofPlant PathogenicFungusBo ZhangYue，ChenZi—niu，SuYuan，andYuLei CollegeofLifeScienceandTechnology， KunmingUniversiyt，Kunming650214，China Abstract：Accordingtoourpreviousstudy，saprophyticfungiBotrytiscinereacontained579predictedsecretaryproteins ． Among them ，wefoundthat122oftheseproteinscontainedthehighlyconservedpathogenic—relatedhost—targeting — motifRxLxwithin 100 residuesadjacenttothesignalpeptidecleavagesite．AccordingtoPEDNATandCOGoftheGenBankdatabase，thefunctionsofthis motifcontainingproteinsincludedmetabolism modificationandcellsecretion ． W eblastedthem inGenBankandf0und47．54％ had highlyconservedhomologuesinotherspecies，amongthem 74 ． 1％ hadputativefunctionaldomains．Thissuggeststheseproteinsare presumablyancientandverticallytransmittedwithinthespecies ． Manyofthesedomainsbelongedtoproteinswhichplayedrolesin thepathogenicprocessofotherkindsofpathogensandsomehadalreadybeenprovedtobepathogenicsecretaryproteinsofBotrytis cinerea·Sowepostulatedthatproteinscontainedhost—targeting—motifRxLxwerecandidatesparticipatinginthepathogenesisof Bof tiscinerea． Keywords：Botrytiscinerea，signalpeptide，secretaryprotein host—targeting—motif ， CLCnumber：S6 Documentcode：A ArticleID：10
