Clinical Research on the Effect of Clear Stasis and Benefit Marrow Decoction in Treating Essential Thrombocytheemia Special: Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine Student: Sun Ming Kun Tutor: Prof. Xu Ruirong Abstract Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of clear stasis and benefit marrow decoction in treatment of essential/ primary thrombocytheemia (ET/ PT ), and to test platelet and megakaryocyte counts before and after treatment of ET patients, with the aim to provide basis for clinical treatment. Methods: 26 patients with ET were randomly divided into two groups. The TCM and Western medicine therapy group(13 cases) was treated with clear stasis and benefit marrow decoction, hydroxyurea,interferon and the Western medicine control group(13 cases) was treated with hydroxyurea, interferon dissolved medicines for 3 months of therapy respectively. The clinical effect were observed during the course; platelet and megakaryocyte counts were tested before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the TCM and Western medicine therapy group reaches 92.41%, can effectively reduce platelet count of ET patients ,while that of the Western medicine control group reaches 84.62%, which shows no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05); there is significant difference between both groups after treatment on traditional Chinese medicine symptoms(P0.05); The onset time of clinical efficacy in both groups with significantly difference (P 0.05), and there is also significant difference between both groups on onset time of clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms(P0.05).
