Starting from the skin texture definition and having the aid of the elaboration of classical oil painting technique characteristics and manufacture methods, the paper elaborates the modern oil painting skin texture forms and characteristics by unifying the successful utilization of the skin texture of outstanding works in the modern drawing . By carefully analyzing the inheritance and development situation of the skin texture and the utilization of all kinds of shin texture in the modern oil painting and itself esthetic characteristics we further explain that the skin texture has a greatly strengthened expressive force in the modern drawing. Meanwhile ， new form of the skin texture and the utilization of new material are also a very important topics that our oil painting art workers have to explore earnestly for a long time in future.
