AsianJournalofAndrolIgY 21115 17．1Ob-IIU @2015AJA．SIMM ＆SJTU Allrightsreserved1008—682X wwwasiaandrocorn；www．ajandrology．com OpenAccess ORIGlNALARTICLE Expressi。onofkallikkrreein-rellaatteeddppeepptttiadaassee7／Iiss decreasedinprostatecancer Chong—YuZhang’，YuZhu，Wen—BinRui，JunDai，Zhou—IunShen Recentevidencesuggeststhatthehumankallikrein7(KLK7)isdifferentiallyregulatedinavarietyoftumors．Theaimofthisstudy wastodeterminetheexpressionofkaIlikrein-relatedpeptidase7andKLK7inourIargecollectionofprostatesamples．Between August2000andDecember2012，116patientswithhistologicallyconfirmedprostatecancer(Pea)and92withbenignprostate hyperplasia (BPH)wererecruitedintothestudy．Usingimmunohistochemistry，quantitativereversetranscriptionpolymerase chainreaction(R1-PCR)andwesternblot。kaIlikrein．relatedpeptidase7expressioninBPHandPeatissueswasdeterminedat themRNAandproteinIevels．Therelationshipsbewteenkallikrein-relatedpeptidase7mRNAexpressionandclinicopathological featureswereanalyzed．Atotalof64of92 (69．57％)benigncasesshowedpositivestainingforKLK7and23of116 (19．83％) malignantcasesshowedpositive．thedifferenceofKLK7expressionbetweenPeaandBPHwasstatisticallysignificant(P0．001)． TheexpressionIevelofkallikrein．relatedpeptidase7mRNAwassignificantlydecreasedinPCatissuescomparedwiththatin BPHtissuesandnormaIprosattetissue．Kallikrein-relatedpeptidase7mRNAexhibiteddifferentexpressionpatternsintermsof localizationdependingonpathologicalcategoryofPCa．Similarly,ourwesternimmunoblotanalysesdemonstratedthattheprotein expressionIevelsofKLK7wasIowerInPCathan inBPH tissuesandnormaIprosattetissue．Kallikrein-relatedpeptidase7and KLK7expressionaredown．regulated inPCaandIowerexpressionofkaIlikrein．relatedpeptidase7closelycorrelateswithhigher Gleasonscoreandhigherprostate-specificantigenleve1． As／anJournalofAndrology(2015)17，1O6_110；doi：10．4103／1008．682X．137613；publishedonline：02September2014 Keywords：humank
