T he results show ed that there w ere h istophatholog ical changes of endom etr ial glads w ith var ious degrees of cystic endom etrial hyperplasia ( CEH ) and inflamm ation and retained or cysto id corpus luteum in ovary in m ost patients. Th ickness of endom etr ium was observed in m ost opened-cerv ix cases. A trophy of endom etrium and very th in wall of uterus w ere seen in m ost closed-cerv ix cases. W hen CEH oc- cured in the endom etrial gland in closed-cerv ix cases, patholog ical changes such as spuam ous m etap lasia and adenom ato id lesion w ere found in the ep ithelium of endom etr ium. In add ition, the macroscopical, m icroscopical and ultram icroscopical h istopatholog-i cal changes of the ovary and uterus in closed-cerv ix cases w as m ore obv ious than those
