Angiogenesisisaverycomplexphysiologicalprocess。whichinvolvesmultiplepathwaysthataredependentonthehomeostatic
balancebetweenthegrowthfactors(stimulatorsandinhibitors)．Thistightlycontrolledprocessisstimulatedbyangiogenicfactors，
whicharepresentwithinthetumorandsurroundingtumor-associatedstromalcells．Thedependenceoftumorpropagation．invasion
andmetastasisonangiogenesismakestheinhibitorsofnewbloodvesselformationattractivedrugsfortreatingthemalignancies．
Angiogenesiscanbedisruptedbyseveraldistinctmechanisms：byinhibitingendotheliaIcells。byinterruptingthesignalingpathways
orbyinhibitingotheractivatorsofangiogenesis．Thisstrategyhasshowntherapeuticbenefitinseveraltypesofsolidtumors．1eading
