Due to the topography, landform, climate, hydrology, soil, ecological environment and natural elements such as location, transportation, economic development level, the influence of social and economic conditions, such as population distribution has the characteristics of strong regional and imbalance. Right to reveal the characteristics of geographical distribution of population of Linfen and relationship with the natural and cultural conditions, for the current and the reasonable layout of Linfen population labor for a period of time, promote the Linfen city in population, resources, environment and the sustainable development of social economy is of great importance.
