This volcanism is represented by small outcrops Accepted 16 May 2009 and vents NW of Cartagena that has been interpreted as a volcanic episode similar to the contemporaneous Available online 22 May 2009 monogenetic alkaline basaltic volcanism of the Iberian Peninsula and Western/Central Europe.
