Introduction：Inthepastseveraldecades，decliningincidencesofnasopharyngealcarcinoma(NPC)havebeen
observedinChinesepopulationsinHongKong，Taiwan LosAngeles，andSingapore．Apreviousstudyindicated

Methods：Age—standardizedrates(ASRs)ofNPCincidencebasedontheworldstandardpopulationwereexamined
inbothmalesandfemalesinSihuiCountyfrom 1987to2011Joinpointregressionanalysiswasconductedto
quantifythechangesinincidencetrendsAPoissonregressionage—period—cohortmodelwasusedtoassessthe
effectsofage，diagnosisperiod，andbirthcohortontheriskofNPC
