The Research of the Present Situation of Participating in Extracurricular Physical Training of University Students in Heilongjiang Province Abstract In university education, extracurricular sports has an outstanding status and, at the same time, is the important position. It is well known that courses written on the curriculum schedule belong to university education, and extracurricular activities such as artistic activities and sports activities also belong to the category of university education. They are both potential education courses and emphases of the construction of campus culture. Extracurricular physical training is an important component of university physical education. Effectively organizing students to participate in extracurricular physical training can not only make up for the shortage of physical education, but also strengthen students physique, improve students’ will quality and cultivate students consciousness of lifetime sports. Therefore, for the sound development of university physical education and the improvement of students’ physical quality, it is necessary to study the present situation of students’ extracurricular physical training.
