Chem. 1067~1070 Bis(4-chloro-2-cyclohexylimino methyl- phenolate)-two Thiocyanation Cadmium ZHANG Xin-Li LI Zong-Xiao (Department of Chemistry, Baoji University of Arts and Science, Baoji 721007, China) ABSTRACT The title compound (C H CdCl N O S , M = 704.00) has been synthesized and 28 32 2 4 2 2 r characterized by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The Schiff base compound is a derivative of 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde. As expected, the molecular structure adopts a trans configuration about the central C=N double bond. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space 3 group P21/n with a = 6.003(5), b = 16.490(15), c = 15.698 (14) Å, β = 94.523(12)º, V = 1549(2) Å , 3 1 Z = 2, Dc = 1.509 g/cm , F(000) = 716 and μ = 1.044 mm . A total of 7724 reflections were collected in the range of 2.47 25.01º by using an phi and omega scantechnique, of which 2695 were unique (Rint = 0.0341) and 2258 observed reflections with I 2δ(I) were used in the structure solution and refinement. The complex assumes a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by four thiocyanate anions
