It was found that an energy transfer between COS-5FU and BSA had been occurred. The binding constants were calculated, k 4 -1 298K=1.175×10 L·mol . Based on the mechanism of energy transfer of dipole-dipole interaction between the donor and acceptor, the distance between BSA and COS-5FU was determined. It plays two major roles in bloodstreams: One is maintaining the colloid osmotic pressure. Another is transporting many endogenous and exogenous compounds1. The study involving the binding of drugs to albumin has been described because of their pharmacokinetic significances2-4 . The information on the interaction of serum albumin and drugs can make us to understand the absorption and distribution of drugs. 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is an antineoplastic agent used for the treatment of tumors of the breast and rectum.
