Processes to convert a Revolution 200T VTL system to a Native MAID system for Veritas testing. Equipment: CAB10025 Current system configuration: 1x8, SuperMirco, 200T VTL system 1.3.r.14 FS 1069 STK L700 (8) STK 9840 (56) Day one: Installation Inspect the system once it has been delivered. Insure there has been no shipping damage to the shipping containers. Unpack the cabinet and move it into position in the Product test area. Remove the doors, and perform a visual inspection of the cabinet. Insure it was correctly disassembled for shipping. Also verify that no internal damage occurred during shipping. Inspect each mid-plane connector on each shelf for damage. Clean the inside of the cabinet, remove any dust, dirt or debris that is inside. Connect AC1 and AC2 line cords to the power rail Move the eight Canister shipping containers along side the South wall of the Product test area. Open and inspect the shipping containers inside for damage. In an ordered sequence, remove the Canisters for a specific shelf from their shipping containers. Inspect the connectors on each Canister for damage or debris. If none, insert the Canister into the correct slot in the shelf. Insure that there is a positive fit and that the locking mechanism engages. Repeat this process for each shelf. Install the Rack controller the 4 SCSI drives into the SuperMirco server. If it was packed correctly, they should be labeled for the slots they go into. Install the four, 48VDC power supplies into positions P2, P3, P4 and P5 (right to left). Install and connect the network switch on the top of the cabinet. Install the Copan banner and connect it. Allow the system to set in the environment overnight. Day two: VTL system verification and IOP331 upgrade Turn on the main AC circuit breakers in the cabinet. Insure the KVM switch is selected to AC1 or AC2. Open up the KVM and enterfor the password. To insure a quick boot, connect a network cable to the RC0-NET0 connector. Turn on the Rack co
