Autonomous learners have insights into their learning styles and strategies. An agenda set by the learner himself is likely to be more purposeful and effective both immediately and in the longer term. The independent learning contributes to their individual development in future. Disadvantages There is no appropriate curricula fit for LA. Influenced by the traditional teaching, autonomous learners without experience cannot precisely identify their ways of learning. Learners tend to lack self-discipline, especially children.
