The cartoon, apparently, has revealed a not uncommon social phenomenon: an increasing number of young people, no matter man or woman, would like to change at least one aspect of the appearance, without considering the risk of it. I can think of no better reasons than the following. To begin with, we ourselves are lack of the reasonable and rational value of beauty, let alone the value of consumption. Especially the young always follow suit and purchase luxury as others do. Furthermore, mass media, such as radio, Internet, television, might exaggerate this practice and lead people in the judgment of beauty. Were the situation to continue, we would pay a high price. In conclusion, plastic surgery, if used careless or without restraint, could prove to be a double-edged sword. Considering the pros and cons of this phenomenon mentioned above, I take the attitude that the public should enhance the consciousness of natural and inner beauty, rather than following suit blindly.
