With Wang Jipei and Peng Duo’s Qianfulun Jian Jiaozheng 潛夫論箋校正 as its object of study, at the same time, with the variants in different editions under consideration, the dissertation resorts to the comprehensive use of the theory of linguistics concerning paleography, lexicology, grammar and phonology of ancient Chinese, the theory of critical interpretation of ancient texts, and the research means of edition and collation in the study of ancient books. The errors in Wang Jipei and Peng Duo’s notations are corrected.
