DALIAN PORT OIL TERMINAL COMPANY Dalian Port Oil Terminal Company is a branch company under Dalian Port Corporation Limited specialized in storage and transportation of oil products and liquefied chemicals. It is a new establishment merging the former New Harbor Stevedoring Company and Siergou Stevedoring Company. The Oil Terminal Company (New Harbor District) is located at the southeastern tip of Dagushan Peninsula, Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, adjacent to Dalian Port Ore Terminal to its south and Dayao Bay Container Terminal to its north. The terminal began construction in November 1974, known as Dalian Port Nianyuwan Oil Harbor, one of the Nation’s key projects of “the Fourth Five-Year” period. The project was completed and put into operation in May 1976. At present, there are 11 berths ranging from 3,000 to 300,000 dwt capable of accommodating 1,000-300,000 dwt crude oil tankers and 1,000-80,000 dwt refined oil tankers. Its annual throughput capacity is 51.3 million tons. The 300,000 dwt crude oil terminal is the largest of its kind in China. Also located in the port district are 32 crude oil tanks with capacity of 2.15 million cubic meters and 11 railroad loading tracks with an annual designed capacity of 9.5 million tons. Supporting facilities are full and complete including waste water treatment, fire fighting, supply of heat, steam, water and power, and telecommunication. It is a comprehensive modern port for oil products capable of loading, discharging and storing crude and refined oils and liquefied chemicals, integrating multi-modal transportation systems of waterway, pipelines, railway and trucking. The Oil Terminal Company (Siergou District) is located at the eastern part of downtown. Terminal construction commenced in 1904 and by 1914 it began to provide transportation service of oil products.
