Information structure of definition (1) The information structure of the dictionary definition includes core meaning and contextual meaning. 1) Core meaning: consists of the essential part of the information residing in the definition. 2) Contextual meaning: indicates various cases and restrictions that govern the ways the core of the meaning presents itself.
