Educational sector is not immune from such effects even if the rate of change is far slower than many other sectors. Researchers have been continuously exploring new ways of using technologies in education and the field is continuously progressing. This paper looks at this progress by analyzing the highly cited articles published in the Journal of Educational Technology and Society, in order to identify various trends and to ponder on the future ahead.
