Ab tract T he cycle lif e of lit hium- ion bat t eries w as studied under dif f erent st ates- of- char ge ( SO C at
20 and 55 , respectively. It has been fo und t hat t he shelving t emper at ure and t he SOC ex er t st rong eff ect s
on the cy cle lif e of lithium- ion batt eries . A t a part ial SO C, t he inf luence of t emperat ur e o n the cycl e
perf orm ance of l it hium- ion bat t eries is small. H ow ever, in f ul l st at e- o f- charge, t he cycle life at high
t emperat ur e is det er io rated w ith increasing the cycl e number . A t 20 , t he cycle perf orm ance o f lithium- io n
batt eries is improved w it h increasing t he SO C, but decreased sev erely at 55 . Based on t hese results , t he cycl e
lif e of lit hium- ion bat t eries can be improv ed t hrough m odulat ing t he SOC at dif ferent condit ions.
