Clinical Observation on Rheumatoid Arthritis TCM Treatment Based on Combination of Disease and Symptom Speciality:Internal Medicine of TCM Rheumatic Disease Author: Guo Qiang Tutor:Prof. Prof.Song Shaoliang Abstract Objective: Our research aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of TCM treatment by comparing curative effect indexes and safety indexes between the treatment group and control group. Methods: First for TCM dialectical type, 60 patients were randomly assigned into two groups, 30 in the treated group treated with Chinese and western medicine comprehensive treatment and 30 in the control group treated with western treatment. After treating 6 months, we observed the varieties of indexes such as RA efficacy index, index of syndrome of TCM, overall condition index, laboratory index, safety index and so on. Results: After treatment of 6 months, there is not statistical significant between two groups In the comparison of RA efficacy index, indies of syndrome of TCM, condition overall evaluation, laboratory index, main symptoms and signs, classification of joint function, X ray classification and safety indexes (P0.05) .After treating 2 months, reduction in the number of painful joint, swelled joint and the overall condition of patients evaluation in the treatment group has an advantage to those in the control group (P0. 05).The Traditional Chinese Medicine group has a better tolerability than the western medicine group in the medication process. Conclusion: It is is a kind of safe and effective therapy to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis by means of TCM based on combination of disease and symptom. our research of this dissertation has been proved to be right.
