Clinical Observation of Surgical Treatment for Tibial Plateau Fracture Speciality: Orthopaedics of TCM Author: Xu Honghao Tutor: Prof. Bi Rongxiu Abstract Objective: To research surgical treatment for tibial plateau fracture,improve the cure rate. Methods: From Jul 2003 to Oct 2008,124 patients were treated surgical treatment by in Shandong University of TCM Affilliated Hospital Orthopaedics Patients Rooms. There were 77 cases male and 47 cases female aging from 17 to 79(mean41.7). 66 operations were at left knees and 58 were at right knees. Preoperative clinical and imaging study to assess, in particular the extent of soft tissue injury assessment, to determine the timing of surgery. Surgery,make attention of the choice of intraoperative incision ,soft tissue protection,the choice of fixation methods. Guide patients to do postoperative rehabilitation training, as well as take the necessary measures to prevent complications.All the patients were followed up for 1 year. Application Lysholm knee score table sports injury score, observed effect. Results: 124 cases were followed up ,excellent in 66,good in 39, fair in 11, and poor in 8,84.7%excellent or good results were obtained. Conclusion: Tibial plateau fracture should be treated surgically. To fully assess the pre-operative fracture and combined injuries, choose a reasonable way of operation and fixed.The merger deal with injury and fractures of the treatment is equally important.Postoperative functional training on the restoration of joint function is particularly important.
