Research on Correlativity between Auricular Point Po sitivity and Different Varieties and Stages of Lumbar Vertebra Problems Speciality：Acupuncture and Moxibustion Author ：Zhao Lei Tutor：Fang Yigong and Shan Qiuhua Abstract Objective: This research adopts visual observation of skin surface changes, tactile palpation of auricular tenderness, electrical detection of ear reflex points to determine the positive reactive auricular points of the patients with lumbar vertebra problems in order to find out the correlativity between the positive reactivity of auricular diagnosis and the varieties, entire course of lumbar vertebra problems, on which the clinical diagnosis and treatment of lumbar vertebra problems will be based. Method: In this research, 100 patients with lumbar vertebra problems are divided into three groups of protruding intervertebral disk, narrow vertebral canal, hyperplastic lumbar vertebra. Comparative group includes 30 healthy people. Data will be analyzed statistically and conclusion will be drawn after patients are examined by visual observation of skin surface changes, tactile palpation of auricular tenderness, electrical detection of ear reflex points. Result: 1. The scores of four respective groups (the whole experimental group, protruding intervertebral disk one, narrow vertebral canal one, hyperplastic lumbar vertebra one) have remarkable differences (P 0.000) from that of the comparative group.2. After the positive reaction points are tested by chi-square test, the result of protruding intervertebral disk group shows that 9 points of lumbar vertebra, shenmen, sciatic nerve, sympathesis, kidney, bladder, liver, adrenal gland, ear apex are proved to have statistical value (P 0.05); the result of lumbar v
