Lian Fang Abstract Objective: To observe the effect of Erzhitiangui(EZHTG) decoction on improving the quality of oocytes from experimental and clinical research, and further explore its functional mechanism from molecular, genetic level. Methods: Experimental study: 60 mice were randomly divided into four groups: the first group(15 treated with EZHTG decoction and HMG) , the second group(15 treated with EZHTG), the third group(15 treated with liuweidihuang decoction and HMG) and the last group(15 treated with HMG). Ovulation and splitting ovums were observed to study the effect of EZHTG decoction to quality of oocytes. And determine the Ras protein activity of oocytes by immunohistochemistry (SABC). Clinical study:60 patients of IVF were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group(treated with EZHTG decoction combined with western medicine) and the control group(treated with Liuweidihuangkeli western medicine). Symptoms of renal asthenia before and after treatment and detected serum estradiol level on the day of injecting HCG, the ratio of mature oocytes, fertilization, cleavage and pregnancy were observed. Results: Experimental study indicated that① the groups of EZHTG decoction combined with HMG, liuweidihuang decoction combined with HMG and alone HMG have no differences in effect of ovulation (P0.05)，but the first was better than the later two groups of embryo morphology, fecuudati
