The Clinical Study on Preclinical Atherosclerosis(PCA)Treated with TheTONG-MAI-YIN Speciality:Internal medicine of TCM Author:Zhao Yanxiang Tutor:Wang Ying Abstract Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the prescription of TONG-MAI-YIN on Preclinical Atherosclerosis(PCA).Methods:60 patients of Preclinical Atherosclerosis were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases).TONG-MAI-YING capsule was given to treatment group. Strengthen way of life was given to control group.the influences of clinical effect on PCA were observed during 1 year.Results:In the treatment group and the control group ,the Total Cholesterol(TC) and LDL-C have been dramatically Reduced(P0.01). triglyceride(TG) and HDL-C have not reached statistical differences after they were treated .TC of the treatment group has been lower than the control group(P=0.042，P0.05) and also the LDL-C(P=0.004 ，P0.01).TG and HDL-C have not reached statistical differences between the two groups.IMT and Crouse integral have improved significantly after been treated in both groups(P0.01).But they have not reached differences between the two groups(P=0.733,P=0.688). the baPWV of the treatment group has Dramatically Reduced(P0.01),but not in the control group(P=0.156) ；baPWV of the the treatment group has been lower than what is in the control group(P=0.037 ， P0.05).Conclusion:TONG-MAI-YIN can improve the arterys structure and function of the patients with PCA. Strengthen way of life can also improve the arterys structure and function to some extent,but its effect has been weaker than the TONG-MAI-YIN .
