A Clinical Analysis of Short-term Effect of the Modular Femoral ， Prosthesis Application in Total Hip Revision Surgery Speciality: Orthopedics of TCM Author:wang Dong Lei Tutor: Prof Qiu Hong Ming Abstract Objective：To compare the short-term effect of the group with type prosthesis before and after the application of total hip arthroplasty and summarize the treatment experience. Methods ：Collect 20 cases of revision total hip arthroplasty patients that met the inclusion criteria of Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine joint orthopedic wards admitted in June 2008 to September 2011, using German LINK uncemented group with renovated prosthesis MPTM for total hip arthroplasty. 20 patients were treated to relieve pain, rebuild the function of the hip for the purpose of correcting the hip deformity. Score all patients before treatment, and make the follow-up evaluation of the postoperative, using the Harris scores of hip function in patients, comparing the preoperative and postoperative Harris hip score in patients with analysis of the efficacy of MPTMsystem in total hip arthroplasty. Results ：20 patients after surgical incision were Phase I healed, no DVT and leg length discrepancy, postoperative hip dislocation and other complications occurred. The patients were followed up for 8-39 months. During the follow-up, the sinking of prosthesis loosening and periprosthetic infection didn’t appear. The ingrowth of periprosthetic went well. The preoperative Harris score reached an average of 41.45 ± 10.23. The last follow-up reached an average of 87.25 ± 4.15, considered statistically significant prior to surgery p 0.05.
