1.Fast reading to train the students’ reading ability.
2.Pair work or group work to get every student to be trained.
3.Discussion to get every student to understand the text clearly.

Teaching Procedures:
Step Ⅰ Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step Ⅱ Discussion and Lead-in
T:Yesterday we learned about choosing a career by listening and speaking.We also learned how to choose a career.Now I’ll ask some questions.
(Teacher shows the following on the screen.)
1.Make a list of 5 things which you like doing most.
2.What subjects do you like reading about in newspapers,magazines and books?
3.Think of a time when you were happiest.
What were you doing?
4.What makes you feel that you are doing well?
5.What would you like to be admired for? (Allow the students enough time to have a discussion,and then write their answers on a piece of paper.After that,teacher collects their answers.)

1.Reading,walking,chatting,watching TV,listening to music,...
2.I like reading local news in newspapers and articles about natural science in magazines and books.
