When I was just a little boy, I often went to the beach with my friends. We really had great fun there playing with sand or collecting seashells. Over the years, however, Danshui has grown into a tourist attraction, being famous for its beautiful sunsets, historic buildings and delicious seafood. According to recent statistics, it now attracts about two hundred thousand tourists on a weekly basis. In the past, you had to take a train or bus to get there if you set out from downtown Taipei. And a single journey like that usually took an hour or longer. Now, thanks to the MRT(Mass Rapid Transit大规模快运系统)，you can get to Danshui in just half an hour. On weekends, this small town is always crowded with people coming from near and afar. It looks like my hometown will keep booming, but I have mixed feelings about it.
