Hoc网络中邻居内若干问题地研究.ppt
Investigation on Neighborhood in Ad Hoc Wireless Network(Ad Hoc网络中邻居内若干问题的研究 ) Yan Liu Supervisor: Y.T. Shu Outline Background Research Object Supporting Conditions Work Plan Reference Background In the wireless network, the nodes in a neighborhood share the same channel, which is the most difference to wired network . Even if no flow pass through a node, the node may be affected by the flow pass through another node in the neighborhood. We call it interference in the neighborhood, which we are interested in. Outline Background Neighborhood Research Object Supporting Conditions Project Plan Reference Neighborhood In ad hoc wireless networks, nodes, which share the same space, compete for the channel under the control of the MAC protocol. Thus, any problem in an ad hoc network cannot be traced to a specific node, but to the entire space around it. We refer to this space as the “neighborhood” of a node. Neighborhood: A node’s neighborhood consists of the node itself and the nodes which can interfere with this node’s signal. Outline Background Range Research Object Supporting Conditions Project Plan Reference Range The Transmission Range (TX_Range) represents the range (with respect to the transmitting station) within which a transmitted packet can be successfully received. The Physical Carrier Sensing Range (PCS_Range) is the range (with respect to the transmitting station) within which the other stations detect a transmission. Interference Range (IF_Range) is the range within which stations in receive mode will be “interfered with” by a transmitter, and thus suffer a loss. The following relationship exists between the ranges: TX_Range = IF_Range =PCS_Range (*) in NS2 the following values are used: TX_Range=250m, IF_Range=PCS_Range=550m Outline Background Problems in multihop wireless networks Research Object Supporting Conditions Project Plan Reference Problems: Hidden Terminal A hidden node is one that is within the interfering range of the intended des
