It analysises and argues for the importance of pictures report to the front page news. Futher more, it tells what kind of pictures are needed and why newspapers need more news pictures in the competition under television, internet and other medias. Twenty years before, we had contacted with the plain text world, but after entering the information times, almost everything is trying to present with pictures. That is ,absolutely, including newspaper. Pictures report have great significance to front page news. This thesis has selected some typical news in recent years and summed up the necessity and importance of using pictures to report through analysing the news reports to those events.
