I dread to think of it. 2、need, want, require, deserve等动词之后，可用动名词的主动形式表被动意义，相当于用不定式的被动态。 The letter needs signing by the manager. The letter needs to be signing by the manager. 3、start, begin之后若跟状态动词，只能用不定式。 She began to believe his story. We began to see what he meant. 当begin, start 用于进行时中，其后也用不定式。 It is beginning to rain.
