T he anc ient cap ital site o f Ch ina rem oved constan tly in the m iddle reaches of the Y ellow R iver, and at last m oved easwt ards and southw ards. Env ironm ental change and disasters are mi portant driv ing factors. Through data ana lysis o f the flood and drought d isasters, and discu ssion o f the env ironm ental and resources condition of the ancient cap ita l site, th is thesis revea ls the influence o f env ironm enta l changes and natural d isasters on the m igration of capital in the m iddle reaches of the Y e llow R iver. The cap ital site re located several tmi es be wt een Chang an and Luoyang, then m oved eastw ards to K aifeng, and southw ards to the pla in of the low er reaches o f the Changjiang R iv er, and env ironm ental change is one o f the mi portant driving factors.
