Department of CivilEngineering, T singhua University, Beijing, 100084, Chian) Abstract: Based on an approxmi ate closed system converted by the consistentviscous- spring bounda- ry condition, a high efficientprocedure is proposed for nonlinear soil- structure dynam ic interaction, combingw ith generalized coordinates translationm ethod andwave inputmethod. To apply thehigh e-f ficientm ethod into nonlinearmodel, the problem of soil- structure dynam ic interaction, which takes the influence ofmaterialnonlinear into consideration, is studied by examples of both the rigid- base structure and the soil- structure dynam ic interaction system. This study provides a usefulmethod for solving thenonlinear problem of the large soil- structure dynam ic system. The results showed that this numericalm ethod w ith generalized coordinate translation is efficient for soil- structure dynam ic prob- lem in strong emotion.
