I said nothing. That afternoon my husband, Bill, and our veterinarian came to see the wolf. The animal must have been over five feet long and well over a hundred pounds. Bullets had hurt the wolf’s leg. The veterinarian did what he had to in order to clean the wound and then gave the wolf some medicine. The next day he returned and used a metal stick to replace the missing bone. The veterinarian said. The wolf looks about three years old. I am surprised that this big animal likes your little girl, but often there’s something that goes on between children and animals that we grown-ups don’t understand.(To be continued) ????
