This system has abundant element, can generate engineering pictures quickly, with the support of the database connection, support switching engineering inter and rapid updates, support embedded scripting, is highly visual, highly open, and other modules consisting of substation computer aided design system. This paper is designed according to the general design of substation steps, including a main wiring, short-circuit current calculation, automatic generation of common electrical equipment selection and calibration of several large. The first design using Access software to establish the substation each equipment type, impedance voltage, and technical data of the database, as raw materials; secondly, short-circuit current calculation, familiar with the selection and calibration of each equipment, at the same time, the basic formula of the finishing; finally computer aided design of variable electrical using C++ Builder 6 software.
