Methods 2805 patients with colorectal polyps who underwent complete colonoscopy during April 2010 to April 2015 in our hospital were enrolled into this study. Patients were divided into young group，middle-aged group， elderly group according to age. The polyp detection rate， gender composition， polyp number， size， location and histological types were compared between the three groups. Results There were 2805 patients（1113 women and 1692 men） with 7154 colorectal polyps in total. The detection rate was 21.70%（2805/12924）. Their average age was （56.12±12.50） among 13-89 years old， male and female ratio was 1.52∶1.
