Methods A 20-year-old male with trichomycosis axillaris is reported.The patient presented with the left armpit sweat，peculiar smell for more than 4 years，nearly 1 month became seriously ill.Dermatopathological findings showed hypertrophic epithelium mucosae hyperplasia with hyperplastic heterocyst.Literature regarding trichomycosis axillaris was reviewed with a summary of etiology，diagnosis and treatment. Results The final diagnosis of trichomycosis axillaris was made based on clinical manifestation and laboratory examination.The patient was managed with eliminate armpit hair and use of sulfur ointment， and follow-up two years without recurrence.
