There is a book on the desk. 2. There are many students on the playground. 如果要表达某地方没有某东西或某人， 或者问某地是否有某东西或某人，我们 要用到There be 句型的否定和疑问形 式。否定形式是在be 后加not。 其疑问 形式是将be 提至there 之前． eg: 1. There isn’t a computer on the desk. 2. -Is there a computer on the desk? -Yes ,there is. / No, there isn’t. 特别提醒： 1. There be后跟可数名词单数或不可数名词时， be就用is.后跟可数名词复数时， be就用are. Eg. 在老师的桌子上有一台电脑。 There is a computer on the teacher’s desk. 在杯子里有一些牛奶。 There is some milk in the glass. 在我们班有四十位学生。 There are forty students in our class. 2. There be后若跟一系列事物时，看第一个名词，第一个名词是可数名词单数或不可数名词时， be就用is。第一个名词是可数名词复数时，be就用are。如： There is a book and two pens on the desk. There are two pens and a book on the desk. 特别提醒： 3. There is a /an------.变复数时, is 改为are,a /an改为some,名词变复数。 There is a girl behind the tree.(变复数) There are some girls behind the tree. 4.some一般用于肯定句和肯定回答，any 用于否定句，疑问句和否定回答。 有some的肯定句变否定句，疑问句时some改为any There are some offices in our school.(变否定句/一般疑问句) There aren’t any offices in our school.
