In recent years, Guangdong and ASEANs trading volume grew rapidly in bilateral trade, and Guangdong shares about one third of the total trade volume. In 2008, Wang Yang led the Chinese entrepreneurs to sign a number of investment and trade agreements with Indonesia counterparts, furthering economic and trade cooperation between Guangdong and ASEAN. At present, the research on Guangdong modern service trade still is not sufficient, therefore, it is necessary, from the standpoint of the China - ASEAN Free Trade Area, to study Guangdong economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN. This paper begins from the Guangdong delegation’s visit to ASEAN, and summarizes the development status and problems of Guangdong modern service industry and service trade. Basing on this, the paper studies the influence factors of Guangdong modern service trade. Except the above, the analysis results are combined and point out the possible strategies. At the end, it outlines some measures to promote the development of Guangdong modern service trade.
