This concept serves as a distinctive culture system that has been created and developed gradually during the 16-year history of Haier. Innovation in notion is its foundation, innovation in strategy is its promise, and innovation in marketing is its goal. The innovation aspect of Haier culture was present from the very beginning of the company and is central to its philosophy today which puts an emphasis on excellence. The most distinctive feature of Haier culture is employee unity and commitment to Haier ideals. The goals of Haier are to establish a globally recognized Chinese market brand and bring honor to the Chinese nation. These goals combine the growth of Haier Corporation with its employees’ personal commitment to value and excellence. Each member of the company realizes the importance of their personal contribution towards achieving the goal of establishing the Haier global brand standard. Haier culture is not only highly respected domestically, but it has also been profiled in MBA case studies by world-recognized universities, such as Harvard University in the USA. Haier Brand The Haier Group has achieved great success over the past 16 years. It began as a small neighborhood workshop and has grown to one of the largest companies in the country reporting annual sales of 16.2 billion yuan, with a net profit of 536 million yuan. During the past 16 years, Haier’s sales have grown faster than any other home appliance company in the world. Currently, Haier accounts for 25% of the small-volume refrigerator market in the US.
