来收集相关数据。在研究过程中,运用 SPSS14.0 软件包, 描述性统计分析,相关
分析,独立样本 T 检查对所得数据进行了总结处理并分析下面三个问题:(1)高中
生所掌握的文化背景知识的基本状况是什么样的?(2)影响高中生英语阅读理解能
力的因素有哪些?(3)渗透文化背景知识教学是否能对高中生的阅读理解能力有
积极的影响?
研究结果显示:(1)高中生对文化背景知识的掌握情况不尽人意,缺乏文化
背景知识方面的意识;(2)高中生自身的英语语言能力、背景知识和老师的教学
方法都影响了高中生的英语阅读理解能力;(3)渗透文化背景知识教学在提高学
生的阅读能力方面起到了很大的作用。
研究结果启示,高中学生文化背景知识的掌握量比较匮乏,从而导致学生的阅
读理解能力不足。这种状况应引起???们高中英语教师的重视。本研究将有利于挖
掘高中背景知识教学在整个英语教学中所起到的作用,推动英语教学的实践,培
养学生学习英语的兴趣,改进学生对阅读的理解水平,进一步提高学生的鉴赏品
味和对异国文化的感知能力。

Influence of Cultural Background Knowledge Teaching on English Reading Comprehension
Abstract
Cultural background is the main element of language and reflects cultural
characteristics in different countries as well. Language in a certain society is a part of
culture. Language, as a part of culture, has its own specific characteristics: it is the
assistance to learn and appreciate certain culture and a learner obtains specific culture in
the process of studying and selecting language. At the same time, New English
Curriculum Standards has brought up ideas that it is important for students to develop
the ability to obtain information and solve the problems they have; To help them learn
more cross culture and develop an awareness of cultural characteristics from foreign
countries by learning English; Meanwhile, to help students get accesses to cross culture
and broaden their horizons. It is helpful to lay the foundation for their bright future.
However, in the practical English teaching, it is often seen that although students
have memorized all of the words they learn before and can handle grammar skillfully,
they are often got stuck in reading comprehension and they cannot get a profound
comprehension, causing a misunderstanding to the reading material. What is the basic
