Actually Im studying the formation and chemodynamical evolution of galaxies using numerical simulations. Chemical evolution means the evolution of elemental abundances in the galaxy, which relates stellar evolution, nucleosynthesis, and supernovae. Dynamical evolution means the structure evolution of the system that consists of gas, stars and dark matter, which is controlled by gravity and hydrodynamics. After the PhD at the Univ. of Tokyo, Japan, in Apr.2002, Ive worked at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) in Munich, Germany, for three years. That was my first experience of living abroad. I faced a lot of difficulties caused by differences and found a lot of interest to appreciate the world. Now Im working at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) in Tokyo, Japan. The life in Japan is easy, comfortable, and peaceful to me, but sometimes I miss the abundant European life and friends that I could finally find after my long efforts with tears.
