Most field research projects require travel to remote areas of the world where logistical requirements and local conditions for Volunteers and their gear often involve unconventional modes of transportation, no hotel accommodations, limited or distant emergency and health services and limited or nonexistent local infrastructure or services. Of equal importance, Volunteers will experience one or more of the following: the whole range of climate, terrain and temperature extremes, data gathering, physical work, odd hours, frequent moves, delays, frustrations, surprises and potential hazards. These potential hazards include (but are not limited to) political instability, transport difficulties and risks such as lack of vehicular safety standards commonly found in developed countries (for example, the absence of seatbelts), and increased incidence and severity of vehicular accidents, strikes, sickness, quarantine, local regulations, weather conditions, natural disasters, wildlife behavior and movements and other force majeure. 志愿者必须知道，以上所有的因素都有可能导致行程变化、延误或者其他的后果。所有真正的科考工作都会涉及一定程度的风险，需要随机应变。这些风险每次探险又各不相同。Volunteers must accept that any of these factors may cause changes, delays or other effects.
