Abstract
After the development of more than twenty years.the private colleges
in
Jiangxi Province have their strength ranked in top three
in the country.In the 1 1
m
Five.Year Plan.they are going to shift their strategy
from Scale Expansion to
Quality Transformation. In this progress,the building of faculty team has come to
foCUS.
Taking Jiangxi Blue Sky College and Nanchang
Institute of Technology as
examples.two typical and influential private institutions at both provincial
and
national levels.this thesis researches the situation of their faculty building.The
following difficulties have been found:few
full—time but many part—time
employees.10w stability but high liquidity.The problems also lie
in the
unreasonable structure. In terms of age.it is large at the two ends.but small in
the middle.In terms of qualifications.faculty with master’S degree or higher are
less.while staff with senior professional titles。mostly part-time.are more.than
those of public colleges in the Province.
High professional titles and educational qualifications coexist with
less
developed environment for scientific research.
Using the theories such as hierarchical demand.dual·factor incentive
and
teaching occupation specialization.this author has made analysis and reached
the
conclusion.The difficult position has been caused by the three reasons:1.the
authorities’governance.2.the college management’S mindset and 3.the
self-administration of faculty.By analyzing the causes and effects.this author raises
the following proposals:
1.The government should improve the regulation and guidance of faculty
building.
2.The colleges’S management should deepen their understanding of composing
full and p art time faculty at private colleges.
3.To avoid overlooking the training and emphasizing the employing.the
faculty building should have
