Abstract Long-journey bus—station is one of the urban infrastructures．Whether its efficient or not is vital．How to improve station’S efficiency or quality is the purpose of the study． Based on the importance of long-journey bus—stations，the present theories and methods of layout planning and construction at home and abroad are discussed，the basic pattern of layout and literature and related research reviewed，P—median method is introduced tO location analysis；How the present layout is evaluated is discussed tO decide how impending the adjustment or programming is，the leading problem and countermeasure is analyzed for the future research；The procedure and method of the layout planning is summed up，the principle and method of location—selecting is studied， the number of stations and the possible schemes of layout is discussed，and how to choose the best is studied；The application of theory is given with instance of the adjustment of long-journey bus—stations layout of Changsha city． Below is the procedure of layout analysis： 1．The research range is decided； 2．Zoning the requirement，confirming the nods and their quantity； 3．The number of stations is decided；The possible stations-location is chosen； 4．The better schemes are chosen； 5．The best scheme is chosen． In chapter of case study’the adjustment scheme of Changsha urban stmions layout is discussed using the investigation data and the previous research methods． Keywords：traffic and transportation，road passenger-transportation，long-journey bus·stations，layout-planning,location—selecting II 1．1研究目的与意义 第一章引言 城市因规模集聚效应而具有高生产效率和强区域辐射带动作用“1，城市化是 当今和平与发展大主题下的必然。我国正值全面推进小康社会发展的时代，进一 步发展社会经济，缩小地区之间的差异，大力加强城市(包括小城镇)建设具有 重要的现实意义与深远的社会意义。对城市而言，交通运输的地位举足轻重，是 城市生产、生活与生态发展不可或缺的构成要件，从某种意义上说，其可能决定 着城市的总体形象、经营业绩甚至综合实力；而遗憾的是，交通服务水平低下已 成为世界级的城市通病。有鉴于此，故开展这方面的研究也顺应了时代发展的要 求。 客流、商流、物流、信息流与资金流等五大模块构建了当今社会经济的发展 平台。尽管现在信息化弱化了空间的障碍性，但面对面的接触与交流的需要仍在 与日俱增，旅游业正成为很多城市或地方新的经济增长点就是其集中体现之一， 故客流也是并仍将是城市发展的一个重要模块，长途客流则是这一模块的重要组 成部分。 众所周知，长途客运系统主要由铁、公、水、
