1. To learn some new vocabulary.
2. To practice reading.

3. to finish exercises .
学习过程:
Step 1 Check the homework and show studying aims. (2 minutes)
Step 2 Leading in (5 minutes)
1. Greetings and free talk.
2. Ask Ss to think of people who need help and write some ideas .Then discuss with their partner.
Step 3 Pre-task (10 minutes)
SB Page 32, Section 2 .
Have Ss read the passage first for meaning.
Ask Ss to read it again and fill in the blanks.
Check the answers.
Step 4 While-task (6 minutes)
SB Page 33, Section 3 , 3a .
Ask Ss to read through again to find the relevant information for Yang Lei’s students.
Ask Ss to complete the information under “you”, saying what is true for their own lives.
Have Ss discuss their answers with their partner.
SB Page 33, Section 3, 3b. In pairs, ask and answer the questions.
SB Page 33, Section 3, 3c .Have Ss write a summary of the reading and share the summaries in groups of five.
Step 5 Post-task (7 minutes)
SB Page 33, Section 4.
Have a class discussion about the work each organization does.
Ask some Ss to say which organization they would like to work for and why.
Step 6 Exercises. (14 minutes)
Ask students to do exercises and finish them in this class. The teacher goes around the classroom to check the answer and help some students if necessary.
Step 6 Summary and Homework (1 minute)
This class we’ve learnt key vocabulary and done listening and speaking practice. Also we talk about less and fewer.
Today’s homework.
Write the summary of the reading on their exercise books .
