● 能听、说并认读单词:tiger, elephant, monkey.以及相关的形容词big , small, naughty, strong, beautiful 等;
3,情感目标:培养学生爱护动物、保护动物、保护环境的意识和互相帮助、互相学习的习惯。

能听懂会说新单词:elephant, monkey ,tiger ,big, small, strong, naught ,beautiful及句型: “look at that.......” “it’s.......”
教学难点:(Teaching difficulties)
能拓展运用句型 “look at that.......?” “it’s.......”并参与游戏并交流。

教学课件(ppt)、动物类单词卡片(或玩具)和图片、动物玩具及面具(每人至少一个)。教学环节:(Teaching steps)
Step I: Warm up
1. Greetings.
T: Hello, children! How are you? I’m very happy. Because I can learn English with you today
2,Free talking
T: before this class, I have a question: “Have you ever went to the zoo?”
Ss: yes!
T: what can you see in the zoo?
Ss: ……………
T: ok, today we’re going to unit 3“look at that elephant ” . firstly , I want to you enjoy the music.(showing the music “going to the zoo”)
Step 2 Presentation and drill
利用动物头饰让学生感知动物的单词,用表情、体态等表现动物的特征。(A short conversation between the teacher and the students, such as)
T (showing an elephant picture):I’m Miss Elephant. I’m big. Hello, boys and girls.
Ss: Hello, Miss Elephant. (板书elephant)
T:(showing a monkey picture)I’m Miss Monkey. I’m naughty. (边说边翻东西)I have long tail. Hello, boys and girls.
Ss: Hello, Miss Monkey.(板书monkey)I now?
Ss: You’re a tiger.
T: Yes, I’m a tiger. I’m strong. Hello, boys and girls.
Ss: Hello, Miss Tiger.
T: How are you?
Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m fine, too.(板书tiger)
2, showing the bird picture, asking a student acts as the bird and say hello to others
3,Presentate the pictures of part A(利用ppt呈现)。
T: Where are they?
Ss: They are in the zoo.
T: Let’s go to the zoo and see the animals. OK?
Ss: OK!
T(不让学生靠近图片): Keep a bit far away from the animals. It’s dangerous. Look at that the elephant. Is it big?(打手势)
Ss: Yes.
T: Look at its ears. Are they big?
Ss: Yes.
T: And its legs are…
Ss: Big.
T: Yes, the legs are big, too.
(帮助学生回答。然后板书句型,带读。让学生们集体、分组、单个练读)。
