Teaching procedures ways Step I Lead in First review what they have learnt in Lesson 49, and then ask the student to show his model car to the whole class. Step II Discussing Get students to talk about questions in THINK ABOUT IT. Help them get familiar with talking about others’ hobbies. Step IV Reading Ask the student to read the letter and explain the language points to help them to better understand the letter. Language points: 1. thank sb. for sth. 因某事感谢某人I thank you for your help. thank sb. for doing sth. 因为某人做了某事而感谢某人 I thank you for helping me a lot. 2. like doing sth. 喜欢做某事（经常行为 I like swimming. like to do sth. 喜欢做某事（具体行为） It’s a fine day and I like to swim this afternoon. like doing sth.和like to do sth.一般情况下可以互换 3. feel 是系动词，后面跟形容词 I feel happy，but you feel sad. 4. need to do sth. You need to do it again. 5. trade change I trade my knife for you pen. Step V Writing Let’s Do It Get the student to complete LET’S DO IT. T: Now let’s interview your partner about his or her family members. Ask about their lives, jobs, hobbies or anything else you want to know. Then write a report and present it to the class.
