GeneralThe routine describes for designers how to produce supplementary production documents like B drawings and dxf files. PurposeTo steer how documentation is done with the aim have uniform documentation to make it easier for designers and production.Responsibility/ authorityThe designers who provide the production documents shall make sure that the information needed for each production step is supplied.ScopeIf a key account Engineer requires special production documents, in addition to product drawings, according to 5.2 Production Preparing, the Designer can be requested to create them. This routine covers the designer’s work for new construction and preparation based on existing documents from FVSZ’s customers. The routine is valid irrespective of which software has been used for existing documents. FVSZ handles 3D models with the program ProE or Solid Edge.RealisationSupporting drawings of sheet metal parts, fixtures and other aids. MethodSupporting drawings, B drawings(needed only for difficulty products)The flattened drawing view that generates dxf files shall be done taking into consideration how the metal lies in the laser machine when being cut. Single ground sheet metal placed with the ground side up.Patterned aluminium sheet metal placed with the patterned side down.For ungrounded or double ground sheet metal the cutting does not need to be considered since here eventual bending will steer which is most appropriate.The bending lines are produced by showing the centre line in the flattened position and the dimensions are made, from a bending technique aspect, suitable sheet metal edge.
