从中国文化传承与振兴看 传统建筑的空间艺术 传统空间意识与空间美 Art of Space in Traditional Architecture from the Perspectives of Inheritance and Revitalization of Chinese Culture: Traditional Space Cognition and Aesthetics 张 锦 秋 Zhang Jinqiu 前 言 何谓建筑的空间艺术，研究的意义何在？ 从本质上看，建筑艺术属于综合性实用艺术。由於它超大的尺度与体量，所以又在一般的工艺美术之外存在着建筑造型艺术与建筑空间艺术。这三者相辅相成，密不可分。现在讨论多的是建筑形式，而空间艺术虽然最具特色却较少被人认知。有些西方人士认为中国传统建筑无艺术可言，单调、一律。而中国人却能看到寺庙、园林、民居空间形态的丰富多彩。建筑的空间艺术是中国优秀建筑传统遗产的精华所在。 What in architecture? Why is it significant to research into it? Essentially, the art of architecture belongs to comprehensive applied art. Due to its exceptionally large scale and mass, besides general craft arts, the art of architecture also embodies plastic arts and space arts. The three are integrated and inseparable. Architectural forms are commonly covered in the current debates whereas space arts are seldom recognized even though they are most characteristic. Some westerners argue that Chinese traditional architecture cannot be categorized as arts owing to its monotonousness and singularity. On the contrary, Chinese people set their eyes on the richness of the spatial forms of temples, gardens and dwellings. It is the art of space in architecture that is the essence of Chinese traditional architectural heritage. 传统建筑所表现的空间美是和传统的空间意识分不开的。虽然不同历史时期、不同地区、不同性质的建筑都程度不同的受着功能要求、技术水平、经济条件等的制约与影响，但更深层地起着主导作用的仍在于空间意识。传统空间意识和空间美不仅存在于建筑领域，实际上他们渗透於中国广大的城乡和风景园林之中。深入研究领会传统的空间意识有助于把握城市规划、城市设计、建筑和风景园林的创作思想和方法，服务于当代。 expressed in traditional architecture cannot be separated from traditional space cognition.
